Often looked down upon as "second class", Singapore should appreciate it's foreign unskilled labour. These Bangladeshi men typically have come all the way from their homeland, to work under blazing sun and long hours in jobs such as construction, all to provide their families back home with a better life.
All human beings deserve compassion and no one should ever be seen as "second class" or sub-human. Like domestic helpers typically from the Philippines and Indonesia, many Singaporeans hold ridiculous prejudices against them and sometimes exploit them. It is disgraceful of us as a nation. |
